I've seen several mentions of this on these forums. I presume its a loading program/software but what exactly does it do?

Where do you get it and how much does it cost?

It's gone up, sniper. It's $150 now, but it's really quite a cool application. I've learned several things from just playing around with some of the parameters that can be manipulated. I have yet to fire a single round based on anything I've generated with it (the weather's been terrible for shooting the last couple of months), but I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. And I WILL be shooting again soon!

I guess those electrons are getting expensive.
I still plan to buy it in the near future for exactly the reason you mentioned....
I want to see what I can learn by playing around with the parameters....

QuickLOAD is a great program. Harmut Broemel, the gentleman who wrote the program and provides the updates, is one of Europe's finest ballisticians. The program is worth every penny. It is not a substitute for pressure tested data provided by the major producers of powders and bullets, but it is an invaluable adjunct worth many times what one would pay for it.

Speaking of updates, DrMike, how is that done? I have not found an update link anywhere in the menus.

If you note on the home page for Neco, there is a notice that states: NEW UPDATE AVAILABLE for QuickLOAD dated 01FEB2011. The cost is $14.95 Plus S&H. I phone whenever I'm ordering, using the 800 number (800-451-3550). Consequently, this update should be here any day. I've actually been expecting it for about a week.

Uhhh...so, you're suggesting I've been lookin' in the wrong place then, huh? I guess I can't argue the point. One attribute I can claim for myself, though, is that I am reliably consistent!
