That chunk of wood in the butt stock is really nice. I like it better than most of the fancier woods I've seen. The .338 Win is one heck of a cartridge. I hope you get a chance to hunt with it before selling this one... :grin:

I did kinda notice your aversion to the 338's. I don't think I have ever heard of you owning a 340 Wby? At least, not since I have been here. Scotty

Friendly rivalry since 1995. My partner in the USAF security police and I went round and round. I loved the 378 and he loved the 338 so basically it sort of tuck with me.

Fine caliber though in all honesty!

I know how that goes... my best friend and longtime hunting pard loves his .338 Winchester Mag. while I am a .358 fanatic. I need to build a Norma or STW one of these days!
