Love it, well magnum anyway as that is all I have used. Meters super well, gave me the lowest SD when over a chrono and has given great accuracy. I intend to try some in my 8mm mag real soon.

its double based so more temp sensative than single based, and since it looks like extruded powder its a bit more abrasive on the throats than traditional "ball powder" not a big deal if you don't shoot a monster magnum.

The powder is very stable. It could be abrasive on the throat with a heavy charge. I like the Ramshot powders. They certainly have their place in the powder magazine of a serious hand loader.

anytime you buy a powder look at the label where it lists ingredients, if it lists nitrocellulose and nitroglycerine it it double based, single based powder contains only nitrocellulose.
nitroglycerine makes double based powders more tempature sensative than single based powders.
but all powders are temp sensative to a point,
I have documented changes in MV's of 200 fps using double based powders while single based powders stay normaly within 35-50 fps in major swings of tempature.

not that you can't work with that, I have rifles that I only shoot double based pwders in with great results.

I have had really good success with Big Game in several cartridges, it is choice of powder in my 375 Ruger. Doing a bit of work with Magnum in my 264 WM in the next few weeks so we will see. Reliable reports indicate that the powders are temperature stable. Would like to try Hunter in my 260 Rem as soon as they ship some across the border.

I've had great results from Hunter in my 6-250, 257 AI, 30-06, and 338-06. Big Game has worked well with lighter bullets in the 30-06 & 338-06 as well.

I love 'em.

Anyone have a load for 168 TTSX for a 300 RUM. My buddy wants to try it so I can use some input.

Ramshot makes some very useful powders. I've had good success with Hunter and a buddy uses TAC almost exclusively in several different cartridges he loads for competition. He likes the ball powder because it flows so well through the powder measure on his Dillon progressive. The guy shoots a LOT and it's worked out real well for him.

I use Ramshot Big Game in my .243 with the 55 NBT, and 260 AB out of my 375R. I also had great luck with Hunter out of my 338 WM shooting the 225 AB.

I've only used exterminator in my ARs, but has been a good powder and meters well too.
