Ok I new to metallic reloading but it seems to me that there is plenty of remshot available now that nust me it is junk since everything else is sold out or is this an untapped resource where all the old timers stick with the originals? Also it is considerably less money than hodgdons imr etc can someone shed some light on the pros and cons

I load for 204 220 22250 243 25.06 270 wsm 7mag 300 hh 300rum

I can see from looking at their data that there may not be a powder that gets as specific for some calibers but I think a guy could use alot of it.

I use Ramshot "TAC" in a 204 Ruger and their Hunter in 30/06. No complaints with it's performance.Rick.

It is a less common powder, though Western Powders now handle the Accurate line in addition to Ramshot. Ramshot powders appear less frequently in older reloading manuals. However, I have used (and do use) in various applications: X-Treme, TAC, Big Game and Magnum. If I could get my hands on some Hunter, I would certainly give it a try in the larger calibre WSMs. Unfortunately, TAC is rare in Canada, but the velocities reported in various 35 calibre cartridges indicate that it is a powder worth considering. Magnum has served me well in several cartridges, as has Big Game. I would think that for the cartridges you list, the appropriate Ramshot powders are worth considering.

My 264 really likes Magnum, I use Biggame for 06 in m1 garands, and true blue in 40 s&W, 45 l. colt , 44 spec & 44 mag.

I love that this powder burns really clean, esp. in the garands
