Range Day and 280 Break-In

I've loaded 120 BT's and shot'em out of my SIG SHR 970. I haven't chrono'ed them so I don't know the velocity but they shoot on average in the .45-.5 range at a 100 if I do my part.

The .280 looks like it has some great potential! Spound like the 260 needs a bit of work, but nothing you can't handle I'm sure

Do you test shoot for Corlanes?

Yes, RMR and Corlanes.

Where in BC are you living, Gerry?
I live in Terrace.

Rod and Tim have made a couple of guns for me the ones I still have are my Sako 35 Whelen and Rem 700 264 WM.

Gerry,

Well, we're practically neighbours. We're only a day's drive apart. I've shot a lot of RMR rifles and also rifles the boys have touched up. They can do some fine work. You have a couple of classic cartridges in the 35 Whelen and the 264 WM. They can be used for some serious game; but, then, you have some fine game numbers and variety in your neck of the woods.

They do make some nice guns there Mike. We live about a 12 or so hour drive apart, not too bad although with the big dump of snow we are getting right now it would take a lot longer :) Maybe this fall I will head your way and try some elk hunting something we don't have here, you have some nice deer there too. Good luck with your guns I look forward to seeing how they shoot.
