Tikka now offers the Superlite in 7mm-08 through Sportsman's Warehouse. I mounted a Leupold VX2 3-9x40 CDS in modified Talley one piece lights.

I took her to the range yesterday, and despite 100 degree heat she did well.

140 Partitions, 47.5 grains Big Game, WLRM, 2.805", once fired Remington brass. Chrono'ed 2924 ft/sec.

Funny thing, I have a standard stainless T3 that shoots the same load, 2884 ft/sec.

I think I'll keep them both.

Some of that may just be because of the heat. Unless both rifles chrono'd on the same HOT day. Every powder is going to be temperature sensitive to some degree  (no pun intended).

Nice shootin! How much lighter is the superlite over the standard T3? The 708 is a real sweetheart of a cartridge. Happy hunting!

Very nice. That load will do for about anything you want to hunt.

Not that much, really, maybe half a beer.
