Did a little range time and wanted to really run my HK and P229 some. I recently wiped it clean and used the Eezox, Kurt and Dave sent my way. Ended up putting about a 1000 rounds through the HK and probably 500 or so through the Sig. Both functioned flawlessly and upon initial inspection, seem pretty good to me. I will break them down and check them out, but so far, comparing it to plain old CLP, it looks good.

I also had a few AK's to fire as well.

Those got fired about 30 rounds a piece, auto and semi.. Used a little Eezox on them as well. Had a few blow up in my face, but nothing serious, just a good warning to always wear your eye protection!

Anyhow, it was a good time. A good range day makes me reset a little.

I think we ended up shooting about 3800 rounds of 7.62x39 while we were there, so I was actually tired of pulling the trigger on some of the AK's. For those that like AK's, bless your heart, I will stick with the M4. Overall, over a few years of firing both, the AK does not compare to the M4/HK416.. Accuracy is SOO much better with the M4/HK. AK's can be accurate, but the moons have to align just right and if you get a good one, hold on to it. The fallacy they will function through ANYTHING is very unrealistic as well. Just not the case, they will jam and gum up just like any other rifle. They are just so crappily built most of the time, you can see light through them!

Either way, wanted to show you all an AFG range day!

I did sport my favorite hat and shirt though! Sorry, the shirt is hard to see through the plates.

That's a cool report Scotty! I do hope the Eezox performs much better than expected for you given more time to evaluate also. Sure looks hot inside those tsunami barriers,,,bet you don't get much ocean breeze with them in place :p

Keep up the good work wherever it is, and keep safe! God Sped to you all!!

Excellent report. It does look as if it was a productive day. And yes, the hat does look right tiddly!

I hope all your days AFG are as good, fun, and relatively safe as this one, Scotty! No luck yet on the magazines, by the way. I'll keep you posted. Expect to be able to ship out some other goodies shortly.

Yeah a good day on the range is good for the heart!

No worries Dub, don't sweat it all buddy.

Nice hat but I'm not sure who the furred up fellow is underneath of it! Please be safe. I had to add that I think you are sending the darn heat our way. I'm not sure but it might have gotten up to almost 100 degrees today! Thanks

Scotty,
You look good with the beard! You should try and keep it for Elk season - it'll keep your cheeks warm. Not sure if your wife will like it but I'm sure it helps you look native.
Be safe,
Scott

Scotty,

Nice buddy! Looks you fellas had some fun.
Like the hat but is that Grizzly Adams wearig it?

Way to go Scotty, good stuff, thanks man, really appreciate the trouble you went through to show us and I like the beard

I think the Top needs to find a razor! You can see that Marine has missed more than a few uniform inspections  Keep the Oakleys on so you don't lose an eyeball shooting that junk before our elk hunt.

You and I agree on that Scotty, I ran the AK47 during Special Weapons Training before the 4th Division went to Nam. I thought that the AK was a piece of junk too, but that was 48 years ago. Maybe they have improved since. Everything that the Russian's have made since WWII look like they are made from old number 10 tinned-steel cans in a single station, punch press!

I also thought that the M4's were really terrific to shoot, accurate, fast and they work! Great pictures!

Glad you all liked the pictures. Still gotta get a picture of the team with the Nosler shirts and hats on the range. Hard to keep us all in one place long enough to get the picture of range time together. I will figure it out shortly though.
