Pretty common stuff today, with the 130 PTs going into 3/4" @ 100 meters and the 140 ABs clustering around an inch. One promising group with the 130 PTs was 65.0/ IMR 7828. WLRM primers and new Nosler cases. First two went in the same hole, #3 about 3/8" away. Of note, smallest groups, no matter the bullet type, were fired with bullets clearing the rifling by 0.030, more open groups with 0.050" jump.
I check expansion at the base of the case ahead of the rim. Federal factory 130s expanded 0.002, as a common area to check. My loads were 0.001-2, with one load going 0.003. All cases returned smoothly into the chamber after firing, with no shiney areas on the base of the cases.
Next time I'll change primers in some loads, adjust powder charges and I have some new Norma and Federal brass to try.
Shooting temps were 40-50*, no wind, and a overcast sky. More later,
