Finally got to the outdoor range this morning to put some loads through a Tikka T3x Super Varmint in 6.5 PRC. This was also the first serious range session shooting this rifle with my new (and first) TBAC Ultra 7 suppressor. I had an assortment of loads in either Lapua or Hornady brass that included the 129gr AccuBond LR, 130gr AccuBond and 142 gr AccuBond LR. I was using H1000 for the lighter weight bullets and Staball HD with the 142's. I have shot this gun a decent amount with the 142's without the suppressor and it's been sub-moa at 200 yards, the farthest I've shot it on paper. Today I was shooting at 100 yards.
This gun was just boringly consistent. It didn't matter the load, velocity, or bullet, it put every load under an inch and to the same point of impact. Most groups were 3-shot groups but I did a few 4 and 5-shot groups as well. The most accurate load was the 130gr AccuBond over H1000. Velocity measured a tick over 3050 fps and extreme spread was about 38 fps IIRC. Velocity of the 142's was between 2780 and 2850 depending on charge. I feel like I should be able to get a decent amount more velocity out of all of the loads. I also have some VV N565 I want to try with the 142's. Pictured are the best group with the 130gr Accubonds that measured .4" center to center and the rifle. The scope is an older Swarovski 3-12x56 that was my Dad's.
