I was at the range the other day checking my zero on a couple of rifles before hunting season.
This guy pulls up on the landing, breaks out his pistol and starts shooting. No big deal, right? He shot 10 rounds and started packing up. I was letting my barrels cool when he spoke up and said, "Wheeew... thats not a plinking load", as he shakes his wrist. Then he said, " primers are flat as hell, thats a keeper". I asked what he was shooting. He said, " 44 mag with 240 gr bullets on top of 26grs of H110 and the primers are flat as hell." I said, "sounds a little too hot". He then told me he dropped down to 26 grs from 26.5grs.
I was glad to see him leave as I didn't realy want to witness a reloading accident involving a hand gun.

Some people won't learn until they have a catastrophic incident. You'll be able to visit him in rooms 203, 204 and 205 after the handgun gives way.

WOW......
My primers are plenty flat with 23.5 grains.....I can't imagine sticking another 3 full grains of powder in it.

Yep,
I didn't have a cooler with me to put his fingers in or have the time to look for them.

I'm happy with my load, 23.5 grs H110 and a 240 gr JHP.
The primers are rounded on the edges, good case life and my S&W 629 Classic is happy.
