Range with the 458 Lott.

I had some free time yesterday so I went to the range. I took my SW 44 mag and my Tangfoglio 10mm. Man those are my favorite handguns in revolver and autoloader setup.

Basically after the handgun stuff was done I moved to the rifle range. I had shot this load before so I wanted to verify it. I really hate flukes.
So here it is. Ruger #1 Stainless Laminated.
load is 92 grains of H4895 and 350 grain TSX.
Accuracy was a .95"/100 yards. Not too shabby for a big bore!
Velocity is a cool 2840 fps. Basically this thing has the exact trajectory of a 180 gr 30-06.
Who says big bores are not flat shooting?

Very impressive. Some of these big bores are amazingly accurate. I'm convinced that for many people, the lack of accuracy is related to their fear of recoil and not to any deficit in the rifle. It does look as if you have your antelope load for this fall!

I agree! I had shoulder surgery on my off shoulder 2 weeks ago and this thing rocked me. I felt it on both!

Niceeeeeeeeeee, big bores do shoot, it some big bore shooters whom can't because their eyes are closed.

Great shooting Fotis. Those 45 calibers are unreal accurate if you can handle them. My little old 45-70 surprises me all the time with the great groups it turns in without bedding blocks, pillars, glass or fine tuned handloads. Just a great shooting rifle. Scotty

How did the 10mm do?

The tangfoglio is a phenomenal piece!

I installed a 20 lbs spring from wolff and a sprinco recoil reducer. What a difference! Feels like a 40 short & weak (40 S&W) instead of a 10mm, and since it soaks up so much recoil and the frame does not the gun should last forever!

What a gun man. 14 rounds of 10mm I am in love!
