Just wanted opinions on the RCBS 505 scale. Likes and dislikes. I thinking of buying one just not sure.

I`ve got one my dad bought in the mid `60s (old RCBS 505 by Ohler) that is as accurate today as the day he bought it. The main difference between the 505 and the top of the line 10-10 is the capasity, all RCBS scales are built to the same accuracy specs.

I've been using a 505 for the last 18 years and found it to be accurate and very durable. The best part is the lifetime gaurantee. RCBS is a great company.

I have been using an RCBS 505 for a long time. I bought it used & the only problem I have ever had was that I had to stack business cards under one end to get it to zero. I called RCBS & they told me what I needed to do to fix it, no questions asked. I think that they are made by Ohaus now. If you do a search on ebay for Ohaus you can find a lot of 505 & 10 10 scales.

I have used a Ohaus 10-10 for over 30 years now.One of these days I am going to upgrade to an electronic scale.

The 505 is my "go to" scale for all powder charge weighing. Can't beat it for consistency, and durability.

I've been using one for years and love it. Bought a new power scale though, so it might not get used as much as it was.

RCBS 5-0-5 been using one for 36 yrs w/o any problems and an O'Haus Duo Powder Measure. Really accurate! Saw one on ebay that was used and sold for more than twice what I paid new. There is a O'Haus Duo Powder Measure for sale on ebay item # 72328240027 with pistol and rifle metering cavities start price $25 no bids yet ends 4-13.

I have one for a long time now. No problems at all and makes great ammo!
