Shot in wet newsprint from my 378 WBy Mag. 375 cal 300 grain

3060 fps impact.

I was really impressed! for a Sierra.

3060 fps!!!

That's gotta hurt, but very cool. I think I'd have a migraine after the first shot...

Nah! Feels like a 7mm mag because the old 378 was braked.

Appears to be fine weight retention, and it is assuredly good expansion. I do believe it would create a great wound channel.

Wow, very good stuff. They must really pump up the 375 jackets on their big bullets..

I will post the story on the hunting secton but here is a 165 gr gameking I recovered from a whitetail buck I shot yesterday. Hit him quartering to me, base of neck and recovered the bullet under the skin on opposite flank. Destroyed a lung and the liver, buck dropped in his tracks. Can't weigh it here but confess it performed better than expected. This is from my .30-06 loaded with superfirmance powder. First bullet I ever recovered from an animal.

Wow, looks great. Was it the HPBT version or the softpoint?

Either way, bullet looks really good. Congrats

Nice recovery on your part, Firebird. The bullet performed well, garnering you an excellent buck in the process.

Fb,

Nice catch.
Looks pretty dare good after what it did.
Nice buck too.

I just skinned him and put him into the cooler. Softpoint bullet, also caught his spine as it passed through where the spine drops down between the shoulder blades

That's great performance. Any idea what the muzzle velocity was?

Can't ask for anymore than that.

I've always had good performance from Sierras. A blow to or passing near the spine will work wonders every time.

Those bullets look great! I've taken a few elk with the 180gr SGK out of a .308 Winchester. Switched over to Barnes TSX after having 3 bullets come apart on impact with a cow elks shoulder at 300 yards. That experience discouraged me, but they shot like none other. I stil use the 165gr HPGK for deer in in the peach orchards though! They do make some very fine bullets.
