recticle for a Leupold(varmint)

Looking at getting a Leupold VX-III 4.5-14X40 for my 22-250 ruger(400 yards and under, varmints) and am considering the Boone and Crocket reticles, is this a good choice? Should I look at others? Thanks

For the money, not a bad choice.
You can also have a custom reticle insstalled by Leupold or Premier Reticle but this will be more costly.
The Leupold Varmit reticle should be a good choice for your 22-250.
I am going to get a 4.5x14 with the B&C reticle for my 280AI.

the varmit reticle would me my choice, much finer lines, but if your eyes are older go for the other style, regards jjmp
