Reforming brass

How do I go about reforming 243 Winchester brass into 260 Remington without making a lot of scrap metal? I have full length and neck resizing dies for the 260Remington.

Lube the inside of the neck of the 243 brass and run it into the 260 neck die. Don't know the shoulder dimensions but you might run the case into the 260FL die. Or just start with the fl die.Rick.

An eliptical expander like hornady uses is the cats ass....Lyman m dies work great too.

I did that when the 260 Rem first came out, like was said already lube the inside of the neck and you will have no problems. If you 243 brass has been fired a few times maybe annealing is in order.

You should be able the run the 243 Win case through a 260 Rem FL sizing die and be set. Make sure to lube the inside of the case mouth.

Made many a case for the 260 out of 243 when the 260 first came out and you could not even get ammo for it much less cases to reload. The tapered expander like is in the Lee and Hornady sizing die really works well.

Buy a carbide neck expander stem from Forster or Lyman. They are tapered and slicker than snot on glass!
