Rel #17 for the WSM`s???!!..........

Happened to read a press release on accurateshooter.com, dated 2/12/08 concerning Alliant`s new Rel #17! So far, this looks like it could be the best barn burning winner for use in all the WSM`s.............According to that press release, the new Rel #17 gave increased velocities over ALL the other listed powders (including the 4350`s), in the Speer reloading manual using identical bullets!........For example, the net gain for a 180 gr. 300 WSM over all the other loads listed was 104 fps.........In some of the other WSM`s, the difference was even higher. Even the 150 gr. 30-06 got a real good bump as well!.........The release also states that the load density, its burn rate and its new powder kernel technology, should give the best results, especially in the short mag cartridges!.............With all these new hi tech powders coming out, looks like we WSM owners have another powder to try in the Rel #17........Oh I can`t wait to chrony this stuff!! :grin: :grin:

...............Yep! Go to accurateshooter.com and find the past articles or news releases. Click on Feb 12, `08. There you`ll read that same press release that I was referring to. Scroll down and you`ll see some RL 17 loading recipes from Alliant, or click to it, not only for the WSM`s but for others as well............As far as I know, that is the only data on Rel 17. You can be rest assured though, that more data will be published later. But for now, that`ll make a good start!.....Distribution to the stores began less than 2 months ago in March.
