go to alliant powder.com. You'll find all the re17 data.
FWIW I was able to work up in my gun using a chrono and quick load as a reference and was able to get about 1-2 grains more than their 30-06 data. I found their data pretty hot in some calibers but for some reason just a tad conservative on the 'o6.
My new Alliant load book shows 168 gr. Speer BTHP with RL 17 at 56grains at 2850 FPS. You should be able to use the Barnes bullet with this load. Minimum C.O.L. is at 3.295". Don't know about the 155 bullets. I've been using 165 gr. Noslers with IMR 4350 powder,Rem. cases.
Hello Everyone, am new to the forum but not new to RL-17. This is the most amazing powder I have ever used in my .30-06’s. Using the 150gr NBT behind 60gr of RL-17 gave me at least 150fps more muzzle velocity than any other powder I have ever used. Which includes H4350, IMR4350, and RL-19. The advertisement for this powder is not just hype, man it delivers. However, it is not the best choice in some other cartridges. It delivered as promised in my rifles with the full range of bullet weights. The 180NBT, 175SMK, & Hornady 178gr A Max all gave outstanding gps.
