ok here is one shooting reloader 15 in my 204 40 grn hor vmax my crono speeds are 3495 3497 3521 3473 but my groups are way out there 2 side by side then 2 over a inch apart from the others my imr load i worked up imr 4895 crno is 3576 3562 3612 3603 but groups are together at little over a inch reloader has better speed retation but worse on groups any ideas why :?:

i have the ruger 204 just loaded up 10 rounds of imr 3031 and imr4320 headed out the door to shoot them now put them threw the cony see what happens will let you know the 4320 is 26 grn and the 3031 is 25 grns

I load 27gn of H322 in my Ruger 204 using a 32gn Vmax bullet. My average velocity was around 3985 and the grouping is .5 MOA. I have a Savage 12FV, w/trigger pull set light.

furn7r I had the same problem you are haveing with Rel-15 powder. I tried every thing I knew to make it shoot tiny groups, but it would not work. Loads were compressed and the velocity was around 3600 fps. My personal opinion is that this powder is to hard to ignite and too slow burning for this long narrow cartridge. Both of my rifles shot about the same with either the 40 gr V-Max or 39 gr Blitzking.

When Rel-10X came out I gave it a try with the 39 gr Blitzking. This powder gave me 3700 fps, the powder flows into the case alot easier, and shoots 1/2" groups consistantly. I now use Sierra's loading data with the maximum load. This was after carefully working up to find the max load. The 40 gr Hornady with the same load does not shoot as well. In the next week or so I will try the Nosler 40 gr bullets with Rel-10X.

When I had the 204's (Ruger #1 and CZ) I used Win 748. Worked great.
