Reloading for a Glock

Morning guys. Got a debacle going on. That is, for whatever reason, I am getting malfunctions with my Clays/Berry bullets combo. The S&W, and the Springfield eat them up, but not the G21 or the G19. I tried using CFE and other powders with the same negative results.

With that, what bullet combos are you using with these models?

Suggestions are much appreciated.

Are your loads on the light side? May not be cycling.
I use 5.5 power pistol w 115s
4.7 universal w 124s
Works very in G17 LS, G34, and CZ Shadow T.

What sort of malfunction are you getting? I had a Browning Hi-Power Argentine military contract that would frequently stovepipe if faster burn range powders were used. I had to go down the ladder to HS-6/124 gr 9mm to stop the issue.

I'm shooting the Missouri 125 grain "cone point"

Good questions.

Dwh: I went as high as 5.7 in the 9mm and down to as low as 4.9 No diffrence. Thought it was the powder, so I went with the standby CFE and across the board, jams.

Polaris: mainly not extracting and double feeds. No stovepipes. I will try that powder.

Wyano: yup. The first thing I checked. I did get a message telling me the berry's plating is a bit on the light side. He recommended a barrel switch like the cast bullets shooters use. Not sure.

What is killing me is that blazer brass is cycling just fine.

Zero issues in the other 8 pistols. I am no glock expert but something is just not adding up.

Could it be the bullet itself?

Also. We fired over 5k rounds of reloads in the other guns, with zero malfunctions, and never fired reloads in the glock till now.

Not extracting is not a bullet issue....

Look to the brass or the extractor to sort this out.

Just thought.
Are you crimping them?
Might adjust that if you are and see if that changes it.
Also, recoil spring good? Not worn or a catch somewhere along it?

Same symptoms of my Hi-power minus the stovepipes. HS-6, WSF or similar loaded on the warm side might do it. I was running 5.9gr/125gr and mixed range brass. Although not likely caused by the bullet itself, it is a possibility, especially the double feeds.

Have you tried any jacketed loads or a different cast/plated/coated? Have you had any issues with these using "soft" factory ammo like Win 115 fmj (the cheap stuff). My Hi power also didn't like these, but would function European or Nato spec 124 gr. Same thing, failure to extract.

Also make sure your grip is good. Glocks are funny that way.

I have shot all kinds of ammo in my G17 and G26 and NEVER had a single malfunction. All my handloads are full power loads though. They both eat up factory WW white box, Blazer brass and Remington 115 gr. I load mainly 115 jacketed ammo with 6 grs Unique to duplicate my carry ammo. This runs average 1240 fps from G17 and 1140 from G26 and is very accurate.
Yep you limp wrist most any semi-auto it will malfunction.

Polaris hit the nail on the head. Crimp. Don't know why, don't know how, but the 19 needs a lot more crimp with the berrys.

It just made no sense why the other pistols did not have issue with it, but there ya go....

Might have something to do with the glock having a chamber that isn't fully supported....?

Might be the gun, Glocks are so ugly the ammo doesn't want to go into them.
