What is accuracy like on these guns? I never had one but always wanted one.

This is the Remington pump 1955-1988...I think.

Still making them.

Honestly, I've never done much of a test for accuracy. It shoots well enough for my uses (it'll bounce a pop can at 50 yards).

Mine does have the distinction of being the only gun I have to ever completely kill a scope... the Weaver 4x crosshairs were at 45 degrees, and still twisting at every shot.

Or maybe it was the gorilla running the gun that broke it.

I owned a 572 for many years before selling it and buying a Browning T-bolt. I didn't sell it because it wouldn't shoot; I wanted a detachable magazine to allow me to bail quickly when I saw a grouse. I'm opportunistic on these critters. My 572 was very accurate, taking many grouse with head shots over the years.

Thank you fellas.

The accuracy thing is my biggest concern.

FWIW, Fotis, my 572 was extremely accurate out to 50 yards with Remington Golden Bullet 36 grain ammunition. As I stated, it was deadly on grouse, which was the primary use of this rifle. I mounted a Leupold 4X Rimfire scope on it, which served me equally well. It is now on my T-Bolt.

Fotis,

I have a M541HB 22 LR and it is accurate! My go to ammo is Remington Yellow Jackets. I recall shooting a red squirrel in the head at 75 yds and a couple of field mice off the bird feeder at 25 yds. Countless vermin have fallen victim to the little 541HB.

Yes rediulous prices on them things. I passed on one for $125 last pring that looked like it was used for a fence post. The two that I have seen shoot were very accurate. One of remingtons better efforts IMHO. CL
