Retumbo in a 270 weatherby mag

LT, I would check out the Hogdon site, it may have some decent info for you. I would think it would be a decent powder for the 270WBY. It is recommended for some heavier bullet loads in the 270WSM and the WBY is just more of a great thing. Scotty

On edit, I just checked, Hogdon doesn't have anything for the 270WBY, Speer #14 lists 64.0gr's for starters and 68.0gr for a max load with their available 150's. If you ask Pop or Dr Mike, they may run a Quickload for you to get some data for Retumbo.

Thanks beretzs,
I have the latest Nosler book and speer and have looked at there starting loads. I was hoping to hear what other people experiences with this powder in the .270bee. My 30-378 loves it so I thought i would just try to play with it and see what happens.

Thanks Pop, I going to load up a few round with 150 and 160 partitions and see what happens. should be fun.

Thanks Aaron

Man, a 150gr Partition at 3200 would be some serious medicine for about anything. I can push a 150gr Partition into 3100FPS and think that is a decent load, so 3200+ is smoking. Plus, that load should shoot about like a laser. Looking forward to seeing how your loads turn out. Scotty
