Through the years, there's been a number of rifles/cartridge combos I've never owned but thought would be fun or useful. Here are a few....

Marlin lever 357 Magnum (cast bullets, cheap/fun to shoot)
Remington 663 350RM (probably be shot more with pistol bullets)
Remington 700 308 Win Varmint SF (home for my SWFA tactical scope & LSS stock I already have)
Remington 700 6mm BR (light enough to carry hunting, but heavy enough for range work)
S&W Model-41 Target 22

What's yours?

I had a glock 10mm longslide for a while and sold it when I moved out of Ohio, but I would really like a 10mm Smith and Wesson 610 with a 6 inch barrel.

Maybe a Marlin 1895 SS ( old style pre checkering) in 45/70.

Mauser or CZ 750 in 375 Ouch and Ouch

Remington 722 in 223 Remington

Savage 99 in 358 WCF

Winchester Model 70 in 264 Win Mag

Ruger Hawkeye in 6.5 Creedmore

Ruger No.1 in 45-70

...I better just stop there...

Winchester Model 71 348 Winchester

Winchester Model 70 375 H&H Alaskan

Winchester Model 70 7mm Mauser

Winchester Model 94 BB 356/307 Win

Winchester Model 70 280 Remington

Winchester Pre64 Featherweight 270/30-06

Winchester Model 70 6.5x55 Swede

None of them are absolutely must have but their all rifles I would enjoy in cartridges that are pretty cool and useful. Man, this is another list I hope the wife doesn't run across in the Internet history!

I have the .307 Win, it's a great rifle.

I bet Heath! I love the 307/356 Win. Pretty stout lever gun rounds. I have a 300 Savage and 358 Winchester but the urge doesn't seem to slow down much.

Something seems to be very common amongst this list...... Is eating M&M's ever a problem Scotty?

Nah, forgot the Sako 222 Rem or 222 Rem Mag... That is another I would like in the safe someday....

Scotty

We both know where there is a Sako Vixon 222 Rem. ;)
I bet you could get it from the old goat. :)

Like many of you this changes daily and I may never buy any of these.

Weatherby, Remington or Sako 270 Wby or 7mm Wby.
Remington or Tikka 270 Win for my wife.
Forbes 24B in 270 Win or 280 Rem.
A varmint gun, was going to be a 223 but not sure now maybe a 222 Rem, 204 Ruger or 17 Hornet.
A 35 Remington of some sort.
A 307 Win, owned one before nice round.
A 357 Mag single shot or levergun.

The most pressing need right now is a LH or lefty friendly 12 gauge for duck and goose hunting.

Not as long as they are all red.

Pre-64 Winchester 70, iron sighted .30-06. I could hunt the world with it
If I cant find that I will settle for a Nosler M48 30-06

The one rifle, I would really consider having built once my 280AI is done would be a 6.5 X 284.
I am really considering reducing to just a few rifles  & the 6.5 could double for varmints

Blessings,
Dan
