Well I got a email back from RMR and the 35 Whelen is completed. Now I am just confirming a Lab sitter and then my lovely wife and I are going on a road trip  Plan is for leaving next Wednesday to Edmonton and then Dawson Creek on Thursday.
I had the privilege of talking with Mike yesterday on the phone. He is as much a gentleman on the phone as he is on the forum.
We are going to connect for a day or so and I know that I am going to learn a thing or 2 from him.
I am pretty sure once I get to talk to him in person about living in Saskatchewan and about becoming left handed he will be following me home and changing over his rifles

Blessings,
Dan

Congrats should be a nice one. You don't have to work to hard on switching Mike over to the other "right" side cause all those levers are already there.

That's great buddy! I can only imagine how bad you want to get on the road. Just watch out for that Doc Mike guy  He may try some of his Jedi mind tricks on you! Then you will be placing an order for three more rifles.

Then you will be placing an order for three more rifles.

You underestimate my powers of persuasion, Brian. Four (or more). Good show, Dan. I'll look forward to seeing you next week.

Well only a few more sleeps and I am off to Dawson Creek to pick up that new lady that some of you guys called the hammer.
I have booked my room for the wife and I looking forward to a good trip and I get to see some new country 8). I am blessed beyond measure :).
Mike is going to give me a hand to get her going and I am hoping that we can make holes in the paper very close together  maybe like the Irish, little cloverleafs.

Blessings,
Dan

DAn,

Congratulations on the 35 Whelen.

Yes, Mike is indeed a true prince. Enjoy your visit.

Sounds great Dan, Mike is a lot of fun to be around. Just wait till you see all his guns there are some real nice ones and the collection has grown since I was there. Looking forward to seeing how it turned out.

Well, it still disturbs me that the people who show up here all have their hands backwards, or at least the bolts on their rifles. Man, I'll bet the rifle twist is backwards as well.

Thank you, I will keep you guys posted on when Mike starts to shoot from the left side. Before long it will be second nature
Then gerry will invite him up to that Terace country to join in a hunt or 2

Blessings,
Dan

That's a twisted good line!

Can't take credit for that one I saw it somewhere before. Also let the record clearly show it doesn't apply to politics

I'm concerned by your introduction of a political statement into your signature line. Fess up, Gerry.

I'm about as conservative as they come my favorite color is even blue just like the tories

Good luck with the new rifle Dan. There is nothing like a new custom rifle to get you excited about sending some rounds down range.

I write left handed but do basically everything else right handed. Does that still make me in my right mind?

Maybe just addled from getting beaten around by your thunderboomers? :)

Nice! Congrats Dan. I know it was a long time in the making, but wow, you have all Summer to get that rifle ready for the Fall. I am pretty jealous. That sounds like one excellent rifle and I cannot wait to see some pictures of it and the big holes it'll punch into the paper!

Hope Mike and you have a great time. I can't think it'll be any less than a great get together.

Notice my new signature line gentlemen :)

...maybe instead of a telethon for "Jerry's Kids", the Canadien version should be a telethon to "Kid Gerry"...
