Hey guys,
I'm trying to solve a failure to fire issue on my RA 308 win. Just about 10% aren't firing, and it looks like the primer is getting a soft hit.

I'm cleaning the bolt assembly again, but it looks pretty good. The primers are the same lot as I use with another rifle, and have zero issues.

the brass is new. Some primer pockets are looser then others, I was wondering if the primers may be seating deeper when they get struck… I just don't know.

Ideas? It's a new rifle. Spring too weak? Or what?

From the not too clear picture, they look as though they are seated too deep? Should be .005 max.

Look too deep to me too... Just off the photo.

Ok, I'm ready to load another batch. My pistol primers are CCI, these are WLR, which are a bit darker. Pretty sure they aren't mixed up.

I've never had trouble with primers seating too deep, but I'll pay extra attention to the next batch and see how it works out.

Thanks!
