Ruger eliminating several gun lines

[rjm158]

On a Youtube channel called the "The Turkey's Opinion", he listed 20 guns/lines Ruger is "suspending" production of, some immediately, others at the end of the year. Included are the Redhawk, Blackhawk, Vaquero, Single Six, Bearcat, GP100 and SP101 revolvers and their 1911s. Several Model 77 series rifles and the Precision Rifles.
Look up the channel for more details.

Wow, that is deeply concerning.

AS long as they bring back their Ruger #1, I'm ok with it.

I like a lot of those guns, the Single Six, the 77 Hawkeye and the No 1’s especially. What the heck do they have left??

After work, I stopped at my LGS. He had spoken to one of his sales reps that handles Rugers. The rep said they are NOT getting rid of the models entirely, just trying to boost sales of existing stocks of certain models.

This sounds more reassuring.

Why are we listening to the turkeys opinion? Is he some sort of insider or employee or just someone trying to have a hot take to make himself look smarter?
