Here is a picture of my sons 6mm that he paid half for with his own money. I think it turned out very well and really looks sharp. The Boyds laminate stock has been glass bedded and pillar bedded with the barrel floated. The trigger was worked to a crisp 3 pounds. We also had Karen Rasmussen who works for Cooper Arms in Stevensville MT. do a checkering job on the rifle. She did an outstanding job and is one very nice lady. Cooper Arms should be proud to have such a talented and decent person working for them.

I think my son is pretty darn proud of his rifle, and rightly so. I think it's a beauty!! 8) I'll post some targets he has shot after we get out some more.

Well, it is a handsome rifle, to be certain. Congratulations to your son on choosing wisely.

6mm Remington

Congratulations to your son on his beautiful rifle. If it shoots half as good as it looks, it will be a tack driver!

Real nice rifle. And the 6mm is one caliber I never had that I wish I did. Great all around varmint and deer caliber. What size Leupy is on it?

Long

Nice! I like the rifle, the cartridge and the scope!

Am a big fan of the 6mm Remington.

Am also a big fan of that 4.5-14x Leupold. I've got a couple of them and they are a superb scope for a multi-purpose varmint/coyote/deer rifle like that.

Sweet....

Guy, that's my first venture into a variable scope on a hunting rifle. I came up shooting a K4 Weaver on my Remington Model 600, and my next rifles wear all Leupolds. One 4x fixed, and the rest are 6x fixed. For my son's rifle though I thought we would venture out just a little bit. It certainly has the reach to use the magnification, and the B&C reticle looks like it will work very nicely after we practice with it a bit more. My son's antelope he shot this year right at about 300 yards. His 90gr. E-tip was sighted in to be 1.5 inches high at 100 and should be right on at 200. I had him hold right behind her shoulder right where the tan line on her back and the white side mark meet directly behind the shoulder. I figured it would or might only drop just a few inches and would hit her perfectly. He ended up hitting only about 1 inch below where he was holding. Those 90 gr. E-Tips at just slightly under 3200 fps didn't drop as much as I thought they would. With the high BC, they are going to be good ones! I've been crying for Nosler to make an AccuBond in .243/6mm caliber, but this E-tip might be okay after all!!
