Man! you are one lucky man. I would give just about anything for a SAKO Finnwolf in 308 Win. I just can not afford the ones in this condition!

Pop I found this one in a small gun shop . The asking price was $999. I talked with him about the gun and sako's and he stated that he had this one for about four months. I looked the gun over again and asked if he was firm on the price. He said he would take $899. I then told him i had $850 on me. He said sold.

The serial # is 35xx and is a Firearms international import . I believe it to be a 1969 manfacture.

The cat was taken during deer season in 2005. It was approximatly 120
lb female.
We were in a 5 year old clear cut that should hold deer but was not seeing anything. I moved down a ridge to look into a basin that could not be seen from the landing .
I spotted the cat stacking down a draw at approximatly 275 yards.
I set up on a stump and one shot from my 270 bee and he was done.
I got the cat back from the taxidermist last dec.
In oregon dogs or bait are not allowed so most are shoots of opportunity

the finnwolf is like the Winchester 88 and i believe there was a law suit over it in the early 60's The finnwolf trigger is not part of the lever and i belive the trigger is adjustable. The finnwolf was only cataloged in 243 and 308. There is talk about some 7mm-08 and 358 being produced.

I also have a great desire for a FW. I have seen quite a few in 243 but 308's are rare. The price is certainly going up on them, and yours is a real beaut.

I would say you got a very good deal on your finwolf.
I would also say, do not loose the magazine !
That .358 model 88 is cool !
I have an 88 in .308 win that shoots great ! also have a savage 99 in .358 I have not shot yet.
Lever action rifles are really fun.
I have a guy holding a real nice 300 savage for me.
looking forward to trying that one out.
