Sako in 264 Win mag?

That would be a great addition to any armory! I could hope someone on this forum secures this rifle.

I think its a Greek thing.

If I were to get a 264 Win Mag, it would have to be a 26" tube.

That Sako is SWEET. I could live with 3150 with the 140's! Heck, a little of the new RL33 would have it looking just like a 26"!

Scotty,

Just think what RL 33 would do with a 26" tune!

My 264 is slow with it's most accurate 140gr load, only 2950fps, but it sure does the job. Long high BC bullets do great in the wind and I can dial for range. I love the Vortex 4-16 I ended up putting on it with 2 MOA wind drift marks and a custom turret. It has a 25" barrel but it doesn't like any of the real slow powders. In fact it doesn't seem to like anything except 60gr of H4831 and a 140gr AccuBond or Berger. I had to ignore all the Berger seating depth recommendations and just try the same seating depth that worked with my accubonds to make it shoot. I cut my groups by 1/3 from what the accubonds were doing and dropped my wind drift considerably. I've yet to see a Berger fail, but I still prefer the terminal perfomance of the AccuBond and will switch back to them if I ever use the rifle for anything bigger than deer. Recoil is very mild and it's easy to shoot well.

May have to try the RL33 sometime. I've tried RL22, H1000, Retumbo, H4350, and IMR4831 with 130 & 140gr Accubonds and Bergers. Or I may leave it alone, it seems to work fine like it is.

I dunno, fellas, I'm about as far from being Greek and still be of European ancestry (German/Swedish mutt) and a .264 has to have a 26" minimum tube for me, too.
