Day one:
We made Walla Walla, our first flight, to Seattle. Both passes to the west were closed all night, we chained up, took a logging road around the trooper, found they had just opened the road, made good time over the Blue Mountains.
For the last six months Catherine has been trying to get her two interpreters out of Afghanistan. On arrival at Sea Tac she had a message from someone in DC. Her folks now have a case worker at state. Happy tears for her, our trip is already eventful. She was in the sandbox for 18months( 2011).
Tomorrow am we fly to Atlanta then fly overnight to Joburg.

And---your off ---very excited for you guys. Enjoy!

Will do, long day coming, 4 1/2 to atlanta, 5hour lay over then 16 hours to Joburg. I think we get there late afternoon tomorrow . Ugh!
Small price to pay for the adventure you two are about to have/enjoy.;) "If" time allows, fly to Victoria Falls while your there and have a cocktail on the veranda of the Old Vick, at sundown. Enjoy your trip, you two have earned it.

Four days touring five days hunting and another travel day. I’ve passed on several kudu bulls I thought were spectacular, guide felt we can do better. Also passed on several other animals, Impalas, Wart hogs and Wildabeast every day because we were focused on Kudu. I missed a bushbuck at 380yards but have taken two outstanding Nyala and a Zebra. More to follow in a few days
