Got my rifle back from savage. The re reamed the chamber. The gun seems to like most anything I put through it shooting 120 pro hunters 130 gamekings and 120 ballistic tips with h4350. All 3 shot groups are under a inch. Have not done a serious load work up yet and haven't shot across chrome yet. This is 44g of h4350 120bt 2.775 coal at 200 yards measured 1.70. Same load at 500. 12 inch plate at 500 2 shots 2 hits. This is my first time at that distance. I have twin boys that are 9. Brady is in the pic with me. I had one of the 120 bt left and he took the shot and hot the plate at 500!!! First time for him. My wife and my other son shit also hit the 8 inch plate at 200 and 300!!! Oh and my wife said we need a bigger scope sooo I guess the 3×9×40 Nikon bdc that came on the gun is going to have to go! I need scope recommendations. One very proud husband and dad that they shoot like they do and love it!

Always great to see families enjoying the range together. The family that shoots together...

...eats well! :?

...always have plenty of meat! :?

...raises well-adjusted kids! :?

Yeah, there are a lot of benefits to sharing time on the range. (y) You're doing well, Michael.

Very nice! That rifle sounds like it is going to work great!

ANDDDDD, if you wanna scope to go long look at the SWFA SS 6X, 3-9 or 3-15.. On sale right now. Awesome scopes for going long.

So far I like it but the duplex crosshairs are a little thicker than I would like. They also have the Vortex 4-16 with the dead hold bdc on sale. I have one with that reticle and really like that. My aiming point at 200 yds is just a 1" dot so it doesnt take much to cover it up. If youre just shooting steel shouldnt be a problem though.

Ok thanks for the info. I was thinking about the moa reticle but Alan at sightron said it is to fine for low light hunting conditions.
