I would like to compared to the results I obtained.

LOAD is 7 mm STW using RP brass
barrel length 29 inches
powders choices IMR 7828, Hodgdon Retumbo, RL25.
Nosler AccuBond 160 gr.
9.5 twist barrel
Ruger #1 action.

If you need more particulars let me know.

I assume this will give me the min.and max. loads for each powder with pressure and velocity??

Thank you
I do appreciate your assistance.

May your groups stay small and the wind stay at your back.
thanks again odavid

Hmm, where can I get some of that ADI AR 2218?
I know that sometime's teh ADI powders are marketed under a different name. As an example AR 2213SC is something we all know as H4831sc.

I will use this information as a guide to show predicted high pressure estimate to be expected. Knowing full well that each gun and headspace etc is unique. That my results may vary greatly. Is this correct??????

The information you provided with quick load gave different velocities then I obtained. Could this be because of elevation or Chronograph types ?????

If I was to use this information as a future guide, Am I correct in thinking select the powder I would like to try from the table then decrease the load around 10% and work back up to the projected max load given watching for pressure signs. The final determination would be based on tightness of groups. The results, would then be retested and hopefully reconfirmed before stocking up on the same lot of each component??????????????

Thank you for your valued assistance.

ADI 2218 is H870...you can get AA8700 or h869

You guys shooting the big jug cartridges will find that although ball powders are temp sensative, I believe they are easier on barrels due to the lower flame temps.
I shoot mil-surp ball powders when I can find them, I like WC872, WC868, ya use H870 data and go from there, my 7mm STW will run a 160 at 3340 from a 26" barrel using the WC872, after 3 shots the barrel is just warm to the touch, with H-1000 its actualy hot after 3 shots.
