Scope Dilemma

So right now I have 3 options for a scope to lighten up my Model 70:
Zeiss 3.5-10x44
Minox 2-10x40
Minox 1.5-8x32

Ideally, I would go with the Zeiss BUT, I am about cutting weight. I intended to put the 2-10 Minox on my new CZ 22, but now I have a 1.5-8 sitting around.

Thoughts?

I think you're choosing between lobster and filet. I don't think you can go wrong, as I own both Minox and Zeiss, and have casually compared them in field conditions. I hope to remember to take time to compare them in legitimate field conditions at dusk later this fall. But I can tell you I don't see much difference in my ability to see or target game through the two brands.

dubyam is spot on. The quality of the two brands is comparable. You can make a decision on weight from looking at the tech sheets provided online.

Same here. That 1.5x8 would be slick. That's one Minox I'd like to have for my 358 Winchester or 444. Be a good one on a bunch of rifles. Should be slick on a 7mm as well. I don't mind lower powered scopes so its pretty versatile in my mind.
