Well, I was thinking since I haven't seen any like this yet, I would throw a few pictures of the .458 300gr BST up, sectioned in half to see what the jacket looks like. Anyhow, here are the pictures. Sorry for the blurriness, I couldn't find the wifes short range lens so I had to back up some in order to focus. I will get better ones in the future. Scotty

Scotty,

Nicely done!
This is what they look like when recovered form a WT deer.

Your picture is way cooler that mine! I like the meat and hair on the bullet! Scotty

Thanks for that, Scotty! When I finally pick up a .45-70 or two, I'll definitely look at that bullet!

The jacket is very even all the way to the base. I really think if Nosler won't give us the PT back we should ask for an AccuBond in the 300-350gr range. I would feel very comfortable with a bonded bullet holding up better to big bones at max 45-70 speeds. An AB twin to the 300gr BST would be ideal I believe. Scotty

The 458 cal 300 gr BST is accurate too. I shot this group from my 1895 Guige gun while sighting in the new VX-3 1.75-6x32mm scope. Group was .400" at 100 yds.
