Hello,

The midway point in our Canadian summer is about here and there are alot of very nice game animals running around this year. I seen a great looking Pronghorn(points looked about a foot long??, no experiance in this area) in a community pasture where we worked over a well and a 5 or 6 point on each side mulie with a velvet rack running across the road en route to work this week have been great to see. It's one of the things I really enjoy about my job, being outside most of the day and working over most of the province of Alberta that is. I also seen a 08 Ford F-350 Harley-Davidson edition super cab that hammered a mulie at 150km/h or 95MPH. That truck looked rough, but the mulie was spread over 150-200 feet of highway. Seems the population needs some hunting to control it.... I'm not a biologist tho.

Anybody else see any nice game yet this year??

Personally, I love the shooting sports. Would probably shoot paper a bit more than game given the time and a place to stretch out and work the physics and variables out. However, one must be awed and even humbled by the game we pursue and the beauty of the wilds where we hunt. I can't say I would be able to choose easily between a chance to shoot Benchrest for a summer or a 2 week guided elk hunt. I think the Elk hunt would win out actually,   Since I really love just being out in the wild just because.

IT looked surprisingly intact, the rad and cradle it sits in were toast, rad wrapped around the engine fan I suspect because the grill and bumper were pushed back about 8-10 inches. The tow hook was sticking out of the bumper about 8 inches and the whole front driver side looked like it was pushed back and hanging like all the mounts were collapsed, besides the trail of coolant and the broken front end they did vey well for a collision at that speed. As well, so there was a bad odor coming off the truck from dragging the deer.

I think it was a bonded core radiator! Probably had protected point tow hooks. Ballistic co-efficient wasn't much but it had great weight retention!

I want one :p
Good hunting
I'm ashamed to add my name

Well, seen 5 moose on feild in saskachewan today. A young bull with a cow following him. Laying in a wallow at the other end of the field were three big bulls in full velvet. Made the ride home alot more entertaining.....

I'll stop for pictures next time.
