She is accurate!

Yep, my .450 is spooky accurate. I'd put it up against a bolt gun any day of the week with a scope on it. I've cloverleafed several groups at 100 yards before with a peep sight.

Great shooting Fotis. What glass are you using on your Marlin 1894?

The accuracy is obvious. A good rifleman can definitely make those Marlins shoot, as you demonstrated, Fotis.

Fotis,

Those are amazing groups. Far better than I am getting.

Somewhere, more than once I think, when a sportwriter was talking about shooting Marlins he wrote, "Once I learned how to shoot a levergun my groups improved". I often wondered what that meant.

Does one shoot a levergun differently from the bench than another rifle? Is so, how do you shoot it differently?

When I shoot the 270 I let the forearm rest on the bag and only hold the pistol grip. When I shoot the 450 the same way it jumps pretty good. So, I have taken to holding the forearm on 450.

She’ll knock the snot out of whatever you shoot! I used my buddies 450 Marlin on a hog hunt in southeast Georgia several years ago and it dropped em where they stood.
