Could not stand it any longer. 35* with a 10mph tailwind at the range today, best day in weeks to shoot so I went shooting.
I went wanting to get my new .223rem T/C Pro-Hunter on paper and shoot a couple other rifles. The weather seemed nice at the house but up on the mountain at the range it was quiet chilly and the wind would not stop.
After getting on paper at 25 yards I crossed the frozen and icy range field to move my targets to the 100 yard mark. Was not sure if my cold hands could shoot a group today but it was worth the try, should have brought some gloves.
I was going to test one load and check my windage and elevation at 100 yards and then pack up and head home. Preparing for the first shot was not easy with the guy beside firing a .460S&W  The muzzleblast was making my teeth hurt
To say I was shocked when I looked through the spotting scope and saw my group would be an understatment. Between the cold and the muzzleblast beside me I'm surprised I hit paper, especially with a load I have never shot before.
Load N1B
-Nosler 50 grain Ballistic Tip
-Ramshot Tac 25.5 grains
-CCI BR-4 primer
-C.O.L. = 2.316"
-3 shot group = .475"
The rifle seems to shoot very well, can not wait to try it on a nicer day. Shot three UMC FMJ 55 grain factory loads to see how it would do. I aimed at piece of tape at the bottom of my cardboard, not the best aiming point. Ended up putting three of those cheap bullets into .72".
This rifle has found a home
