made up some rounds for my 270wsm and went to the range,, these loads were with rl-19 starting load was 60gr and went to 62.5 bullet was a 150gr speer GS,, 61grs showed alot of promise with two touching and one a little high left (still within an inch) but i did pull it,, since i was only shooting 3 shot groups i couldnt confirm the group  this is out of a m70 24" barrel,, im gonna try the 61grs again and see what i get if it prints like its showing it will then i might be done

just loaded 12 more rounds 4 of each 60.5,,61,,and 61.5,, planed on going out today but as always the freakin wind is blowing again :x
man i hate the wind !!!!!!!!!

Hope you get to try them out soon. I never messed with RL19, but I bet it works pretty well, matter of fact I have had great luck with about any decent powder in the 270WSM. I would think with 61-62gr of RL19 you will get into the 30-3100FPS range with your 24" tube. That Grand Slam should be an excellent bullet for your uses. I like the 150's in the WSM. It has the powder capacity to push that bullet fast enough to have lazer like trajectory and also deliver the foot pounds to a long range target! Scotty

i think the 150's are just the right size for just about any game in my neck of the woods  i do however have some 140gr accubonds i want to try as well,, i didnt realize that them Grand Slams cost as much as they do ( $49.95 for 50 ) the ones i have were a gift,,

Holy Moses! That is alot of money for Grand Slams. I would try out the 140gr Accubonds, probably a better bullet for the money. The Grand Slams are decent bullets, but I think the Accubonds are just as good, and a heckuva lot less, especially if you buy them as 2nds. Scotty

I think you overpaid on the Grand Slams. They aren't that much in Canada! It does seem extravagant compared to Nosler and/or Barnes.

Wow, I guess, you could get Partitions for 35.00 or less here at Bass Pro. Even less in other places. They were free, so you can't complain too much. Scotty

SPE1608 277-150 GR. Soft Point - Bullet Head Only Not Loaded Ammo $49.95
this is the add that had the price for the Grand Slams ( per 50 ),,, i dont know what my girlfriend paid but i dont think ill pay that much
and you right about the accubonds i think i paid around $23.00 from midway USA

Yeah, I looked on Midway at Grandslams and they were about 25 for 50. I think SPS has 130gr AccuBond 2nds right now, so hopefully some 140's will be coming around shortly. Scotty
