This time it was out of the Rem 700 .264 with its 10x Unertl scope. Pretty much awsome as usual. I am going to load ammo for a gent with one of Gatlins custom .264s to take to Montana on a mulie hunt. So far these bullets have shot great out of all the .264s I have tried them in. Ramshot magnum seems to be the powder for them in all the guns. I am gowoing to carry them in the 700 whitetail hunting this year. reflex264

Whats the Vel. on your loads with Ramshot Magnum. What kind of groups are you getting with them as well. I have a Rem. 700 CDL in the 264 also. Its likes the 130 AB's over Reloader 25 and a CCI250 primer. Haven't had a chance to put them through a Chrony yet though.

Will be trying these in my .264 soon. I have some Retumbo, RL25. Might have to try Ramshot also.

I have a Rem 700 with a Shilen #4 CM 27 3/4" barrel in 264 Win Mag that loves 130 Accubonds. My load is 66.5 grs Retumbo, CCI 250 primer, WW case reformed from WW 7mm Rem. mag brass, OAL 3.450 which is ten thousands off the lands and I get 3350 fps and it will shoot in the .4's @ 100 yards. I just got this rifle late last winter so I have not shot any game with it yet. I will be using it opening day of deer season in East NC Oct. 17.

Groups are running .5" most of the time. I have been slinging them around 3150fps from the 24" barrel to right at 3300 from the 26" guns. I haven't hit what i would call max yet but I am close. 68grs is a good load in all the rifles. reflex264

Thanks reflex264 for the heads up on the load data. I may have to try some Ramshot mag. It being a ball powder I would assume that it might burn a little cooler and thus be a little easier on the bore.

Ok, just picked up some 130gr Accubonds and need to pick a powder to start off with. Any suggestions?

I encourage you to really try Retumbo in your 264 mag. It really makes those 130 AB's move and it is very accurate in my rifle.

What powder charge did you start at? I have some that I use in my .30/378Wby, so might as well give it a try.

The Hodgdon web site gives start 63.5 grs and max 67.5 for Retumbo with the 129 gr HDY SP bullet. I started out at 65 grs with the 130 AB and found that 66.5 was the load in my rifle. 67 grs was too hot in my rifle. I got ejector marks with the 67 gr load.
66.5 Retumbo, CCI 250, WW case reformed from 7mm mag cases, with the 130 AB Ten Thousands off the lands shoots in the .4's @ 100 and is doing 3350 fps from my 27 3/4" barrel.

Thanks 1shot. I will load some up and try and get out to the range. Will post my results.
