Just noticed two boxes of old 20ga shot shells are looking pretty green. Both are say 10-15 years old and are from two different companies.

Any thing dangerous about this or just shoot them up? And they did just turn this winter. I just tapped into one of the boxes last fall. They are stored at 68 degrees in my basement year round.

Shoot them up. That green stuff will do nothing to harm you or your gun.

I bet they have been exposed to some percentage of moisture at one time.

I think is the powder that turns a bit green. It is inside the case not on the out side and the brass there is a dull normal of old brass. Even a reaction thru time with the plastic.
