Anyone tried out the 140 gr HPBT Gameking? I'm thinkin' about tryin em out in my 7mm-08 and see how they shoot.

I've shot them in the .280 Rem. They are a fine bullet that yield excellent accuracy. I like them for deer size game and perhaps for black bear.

I have used them in my 30-06, 165 grain. Outstanding accuracy and I like that there's no lead tip to deform. Killed my deer this year despite poor shot placement on my part with the initial shot. I wanted to get some in 160 gr. for my 280, but my local Cabela's did not have them. I likely will order some for my 280 though. I wouldn't hesitate to try the 140's in either your 7-08 or my 280.

...haven't used the 140's, but I've used the 7mm 160's & .30 165's on mule deer & elk, the 6.5mm 130's on mule deer, & the .25 120's om mule deer & antelope, all w/ very good, consistent results...

The 165 grain HPBT in the 30.06 was the bullet I first started hunting with. Very lethal on deer. Bullet sometimes fragments however.

I use the 140 Sierra Gameking in my 7mm-08 Rem Tikka T3. It's a sub 1/2 MOA rifle every time out to 500 yds and a real performer on whitetails. The bullet usually dumps them where they're standing.

Does the HPBT GK shoot as flat as the regular GK at extended ranges? I don't believe it affects drop as much with the lower BC at 300 yards or less, but what about extended ranges? BC difference is around .100

I used the 140 SGK in my 7mm-08 with RL-15, great load and super accurate! That bullet in 7mm, and 6.5mm have cleanly taken down a lot of game for me with zero issues.
