So I just took the front and rear sight off of my Winchester Post 64 Model 70. Where is the best place to get filler screws (to fill the holes) that sit as flush to the barrel as possible?

Corey

Check Brownells. I would assume that any good gun shop should have some screws around that they could give you. These seem always to be around.

Working the midnights and policing the forum.

Ah very. Cool. Thought I was the only that was up this late on the forum. I appreciate all you do.

Can not beat the rewards...... Hanging out with you guys and gals.

Very true. I love this sight and the lack of attacks and everyone's helpfulness.

The easiest way is just to use the plug screws you removed from the receiver when you installed your scope. Some of the screws with the radiused heads are often too long for the hole, especially on the front sight holes. I've had better luck with just the straight-sided plug screws. Go to any sporting goods place that sells and installs a lot of scope sights. In the back room they will have a whole jar of plug screws removed from rifles and if you ask nice, they will give you what you need for free.

Not sure where you are at, but the Sportsman Warehouse in the Spokane valley Mall use to have these. Not sure if they still carry them or not.

Thanks for all the advise. Never thought about asking about the ones that come off of rifles that had scopes installed. Thats a great idea.

This has always been my experience. I've never had to buy screws as these were always available.
