For the pupose of hunting do you think the animal care's if it heard the shot . By the way why would you want to surpese your gun what is the purpose of the qustion? Hunting ,or for ear protection , in canada silencer are prohibited for any use.

30 whisper, animal control in a populated area. Not to keep the animal from hearing the shot but the locals. Not sure of the regulations now but DNR didn't have to worry about that. Ear protection is secondary to the original purpose of a supressor.Rick.

Suppressing the noise is maybe the first desired effect but also what comes into play is a vast reduction in recoil and anytime recoil is reduced......accuracy is improved!! :wink: :wink:
