So with this my sako 30-378 and 416 (all Bees) should take care of everything.

With these and my levers (Win 94 in 30-30, 32ws, a 308 finnwolf, Marlin 444 marlin Guide gun 45-70 and BLR 358) I am complete.

PS. Varmint rifles not listed.

Fotis

You feeling ok?
My eyes are hurting just reading that you are complete!
We all know better buddy, you NEED more rifles. :)

Nice rifle and chambering, congratulations on an awesome battery.

Very very nice.
Way to go on an excellent choice. That will make for a flat liner antelope rig. What glass are you going to mount?

I have 3 scopes (from the rifles I sold)

the Zeiss 4.5x14x44mm
Leupold LR 30mm 4.5x14x40 CDS
Leupold 4x12x40mm AO VX2

I will order talley aluminum ring/bases (2 ounces). I want to keep it as light as possible but have enough power to be able to take a 500 yard shot.

OR go weaver bases and style rings for interchangeable scopes. :? :? :? :?

Hey, those are sweet rifles that perform quite well. Congratulations.

Fotis, congrats on the new 'bee. Everyone knows my opinion of the 270'bee is very high. I don't think you can get a better all-around rifle than that chambering. Either a ULW or #2 contoured sporter/synthetic/fibermark style is really near unbeatable.

If I were in your shoes, I'd get the Talleys, and put the 4.5-14x44 Conquest on it and be done. Not much you'd want to do out to 500yds that Conquest won't handle. Should be good out nearly that far without holdover if you load the 130gr E-Tips. I get 3420fps out of them over IMR7828ssc. Regular 7828 is slower, across multiple lots of each, but your mileage may vary.

Talk about an antelope laser!

If the ALRs really do expand at velocities as low as 1300 fps, the effective range of this thing with the ALR would be just over 1400 yards, with 638 ft/lbs of energy and only 11.1 mils up with a 100 yard zero.

Those were super stocks on the Number Ones that you sold. They weren't calibers that I want or do not already have but I wish that I could afford to buy one.

I'm anxious to see what kind of load development you do for it. I've messed with a couple of Ultralights, including one that I couldn't get to shoot for beans- I thought it was fixable, we just hadn't found the right combo but my buddy sold it off.

The word is these are tempermental- I can't wait to see what you can manage.

Fotis, I happen to have some tally bases for a weatherby ultra light if you are interested?

the perfect scope option would be to sell some of the ones you have and put on a z3 3-10X42 with ballistic reticle

I am considering this.
