I already have my 2019 "over the counter" tags for bear, archery elk, and deer as well as small game & fishing license. So, even if I don't draw any special tags, I can have a pretty good season.

Today though, I applied for most of the "special tags" I've been seeking. Am only waiting on word from a buddy of mine re his recommendations about moose tags. He lives and hunts over in the northeast region of the state and is well acquainted with the area. That's where the vast majority of Washington's moose are found.

Applied for:

antlerless deer (if I draw the tag I want, this will be a 30-30 hunt)
antlerless elk

bighorn ram
bighorn ewe

mountain goat

quality deer

Just applied for more points for several types of tags as well. Always a gamble, and won't know the draw results for quite a while. Hunting here in Washington only this year.

Any of you guys seeking "draw" tags in your home state or elsewhere?

Guy

Making my annual donations: Oregon- special deer and elk, points for deer, elk and pronghorn, over the counter archery elk and rifle blacktail. AZ. deer, elk, sheep, pronghorn, already struck out on elk. Utah- deer, elk, sheep, and moose.

I have my Wyoming cow tag, Idaho General, and waiting for the Oregon draw. I am looking forward to another season, with a great bunch of guys.
For Washington I will be apply for more preference points, I know that I have enough to draw a tag in a couple of categories, but my fall is already filled up.

I'm in for all the special tags in UT plus a general muzzleloader deer tag and will put in for a cow tag in June. Then my usual draws for deer, elk, and antelope here in ID plus non-resident tags for deer and elk. I'll put in for WY points again this fall and will probably try for a region G deer tag next year if we dont go to AK moose hunting again. Then I'm going to Kodiak Island to hunt deer and caribou in August. Should be a good fall.

I need to retire like Bill so I can hunt another state or two  .

Well I just finished putting in for myself and the daughters Moose, Goat and Sheep. Oldest didn't want Antelope, youngest did, then the older did too all the sudden, so put them in for a party tag so there is no fighting lol

Don’t have Washington state but Bill and I have a date with wapiti in a couple of states. Can’t wait to hunt. We have a new lad in the group that is gut hooked on elk and I couldn’t be more proud.

Panhandle up on the St Joe river I have been there before and loved the country. Lots of big country for them to hide in !

I hunted up there once before the wolves. W
Have you heard how the elk are doing there recently?

Nathan, I have a couple of contacts that say wolf numbers are down and elk numbers are up. I saw elk when I was up there several years ago when the wolf population was higher, and missed a nice bull.
