Does anyone have specific pet loads for their .257 Weatherby Magnum, using 120 Grain Partitions? Thanks in advance!

Your request is specific for loads with 120 grain Partitions. I have not tried the Partitions, however have done some extensive work with the 100 grain Ballistic Tip and the 110 grain AccuBond. The ballistics for both are outstanding.

My rifle is one of a kind as far as I know and my data may not be consistent with your rifle. My rifle was a new unfired Ruger M77VT, heavy 26" inch barrel, .25-06 rechambered for the .257 Weatherby Magnum. It is topped with a 6X18 Leupold.

Both loads will shoot under 1/2" inch at 100 yards. The 100 BT load chronographs at 3625 FPS and the 110 AccuBond, 3500 FPS.

The best powder for the 100 BT is RETUMBO. I tried all of the other possibles. My load is 76.5 grains with Federal 215 primers and overall length is 3.17" inches. Trying longer lengths made the groups worse.

My load for the 110 AccuBond is 71.0 grains IMR 7828 SSC. Same primers and same length.

Try a couple of grains less for each load and work up.

I have shot numerous coyotes with both loads and they are devastating.

Good Luck,
