Speer 270 gr JSP Deepcurl for a 444 Marlin

I'm going to load some 270 gr JSP Speer Deepcurl bullets with RL-7 to see how they shoot out of my 444 Marlin, they shoot great out of my 44 and was wondering if any of the 444 enthusiast on here have tried them? Just wish Speer sold them by the 100 instead of boxes of 50.

I tried them and they shoot very well but the Hornady 265 FP shot just as well and retained more weight when I tested them

Those 300gr DeepCurls are one heck of a bullet in the 45-70s. That 270gr should work well in your 444.

They put the hurt on the few deer and hogs I've taken with my 44.

Looking forward to seeing what it does. I have a 444 that needs some load work as well. Heck, I just remember, I need to get some dies, cases and bullets for it too!

Just like a good rifle, ever ready when the time comes to work! I know it was tested to be a shooter, so I don't imagine it'll take much to make it ready to hunt...

I'm going too load up 10 rounds sometime today, I'm going too try them out next weekend and see what they do.

Sweet, I am looking forward to getting a few rounds out of the lever guns in a few months. The bolt guns are fun, but the lever rifles always seem to be more interesting.. Just fun to pack around as well. Need a couple scopes for them too.
