Just received my Steiner GS3 in the mail today. First impression is its built like a tank. a little heavy for my taste(why I've always liked leupold) but it is 3-15x50 30mm tube 5x zoom, there is no free lunch as they say. Incredibly clear and I like the S1 reticle but it is very fine, so in low light or dense cover this might pose a problem. Most of my hunting is over cut corn or beans in bottoms or open oaks so it should be ok. unfortunately the rings won't be here until next week. After it is mounted and sighted in I will give a better review. Any one else used Steiner in its current Burris owned form?

My impressions of Steiner are positive. Appreciate your quick review.

Steiner scopes are becoming quite popular in these parts. I have looked them a couple of them and they seem to be very clear.
I am sure it will serve your purpose well.

Blessings,
Dan
