Definitely do the reloading setup. You WILL NOT save money, but you will be able to shoot a heck of a lot more, plus being able to tune your loads, or use the exact bullet you want to...

+1 I let a stevens 200 in 7mm-08 go a while back. It would consistiently go inch or less with Winchester Super-X right out of the box. They usually have potential, and if this one dosent you can still sell the rifle and have the reloading set up. You might get hoooked on some obscure cal. like me and NEED to reload..... :) CL

Bear Hunter, I have thought about using their loading setups, but both of my relatives are 2 hours either way travel distance. So that makes saving ANY money practically impossible. It is a good idea if I head out their way but that isn't too often.

I kind of figured that....truth be told you won't really save any money by reloading because you will shoot much more often than if you didnt. Yes the cost per round will be lower than factory ammo but you will shoot more rounds. It is a hoot of a good time though

haha I was looking at .300 WSM or maybe .270 WSM, but I don't know why I would need a round like that :p

I know I will technically be saving per round, but I have 98 once fired brass waiting to be reloaded lol... Those 98 will go just as fast as they did when they were in 20pk boxes :) I lost 2 ground hog hunting, they blended in with the dead weeds too well. :/

Anyone have a rough Idea of how my rifle MAY shoot a 110 or 125 grain bullet? Is there a possibility that they will shoot well or is it a moot point?

I don't think you would have any issues making the 110-125's shoot out of your rifle. Usually they are pretty darned accurate and low recoil as well.

Okay, like I said, I have the 1:10 twist and everything I have read says 150 - 220 grain. But my Father-in-law shoots some home brewed 115 grains out of his 1:10 30-06 and its deadly accurate!

Wasn't sure if that capability is caliber specific or if velocity has much to do with it either
