Steyr Scout...finally home

The 376 Steyr packs a wallop. I've watched it take down elk and moose with aplomb. It is a great cartridge that will never gain more than curiosity status, unfortunately. It has to compete against such excellent rounds as the 375 Ruger and 375 Hurt & Holler.

It appears Steyr has even given up on it....they're chambering the .375Rug and .338RCM. I got to mess with one a few years ago that belonged to an acquaintance. Nice rifle- hard recoil.

Now the .338RCM in the Scout would be a real kick in the pants....

Hodgeman, seems your son has now got his "perfect" hunting rifle. That's great!
