So I picked one up off the fire the other day got a great deal on it and slapped it on the AR. Wasn't really planning on doing it but the price was right and I have a hard time passing up a good deal.

The light was NIB and attached it in about 5 minutes. I'm not a big fan of spotlights but I decided to give it a try if not I knew I could get my money back.

Last night I got to do some testing and wow! That light is bright 170 lumens will blind anything you can see 150 yards or so with it and it has a built in laser that can be used in conjunction with the light. It provides great illumination and still allows my ACOG to have the tritium low light reticle to work. The laser is also very bright and easily visible to 150 200 yards. So after mounting I decided to give it the acid test went out on the quad to find a rabbit or two. Quickly I realized it was somewhat difficult to drive and search in conjunction so this idea popped in my head what if I turned it on its side turned the laser on and stuff the butt of the gun in my gut. Tried this and it worked very well I can easily scan and shoot with good accuracy thanks to the laser. It's great for point blank to about 30 yards or so and if I see anything farther than that I can shoulder the rifle and blast away. The only downside I currently see is battery life at about 2.4 hours but it sure is nice. I got 3 rabbits last night with it the laser is great for near shots and the light is good enough to reliably identify rabbits and make accurate shots to 100 yards.

I hate finding good deals like this on stuff I really don't need.
